Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice”.   Psalm 63:7

2020 and the start of 2021 have been challenging – not only for NABM but also for many ministries. Even though all the scheduled mission trips and groups cancelled in 2020, God provided for our needs. We are thrilled to see some groups scheduling retreats and mission trips for the summer.

We are continuing to serve the community in the following ways: hosting a new church, Abundant Grace Ministries, in our chapel; the boys & girls twice-monthly program; being available for drop-ins who are looking for a safe place to rest; for a stranded family that needed a place to stay while their car was being worked on; and helping our neighbors. Our faith in a sustaining God continues to grow.

The boys have been building toolboxes in the woodshop and learning how to use equipment safely. The girls not only have done crafts, they also created booklets stating, “I AM….” We all need encouragement and to know how God sees us.

SNOW in Ringold, OK. It was beautiful and restricting!! We were fortunate we did not lose power or water.

Our director, Greg Bohanan, has been in the hospital since February 12, 2021, with Covid-19 complications. He is doing amazingly well, after some ups and downs, and hopes to be home soon. A big thank you to several of our Board of Directors who have given counsel and help during this time. And to all of you wonderful supporters who have been praying! Prayer works!!

NABM has the best donors – a large first aid kit for the woodshop, tools for the boys program, crafts, cooking items for the girls program, and the promise of windows for Fellowship Hall. Our donors are the lifeblood of the ministry! Thank you for your faithfulness and prayers. Without you, we could not be God’s servants in SE Oklahoma.

We would appreciate your help with the cost of ….

Replacing a very old carpet in one of the dorms with new flooring

Material for a ramp for the director’s home

Material to rebuild the mini-golf course

Replacing fire extinguishers and CO2 plugins

As we look forward to a great summer, please consider visiting to sit under the brush arbor, make something in the woodshop, pick strawberries or a salad from the garden, help a neighboring church with VBS or a project, have a retreat or family gathering, and enjoy the quiet.

Blessings from the NABM staff
